Good Farm Guide

The Good Farm Guide to Navigating Regulations

Confused about farm regulations? The Good Farm Guide isn’t about fancy planning, it’s about the legal must-knows to keep your farm running smoothly. Even better, these regulations become a clear starting point for your farm planning. By understanding the rules upfront, you save time and avoid costly rework later!

The Good Farm Planning Hub has funded two sets of resources:

  • The Good Farm Guide to Navigating Regulations
  • The Good Farm Webinars on Navigating Regulations

They are both free to download and attend.

The Good Farm Guide to Navigating Regulations

The Good Farm Guide to Navigating Regulations covers most legislative requirements facing a farm business, including everything from freshwater to animal welfare to employment law. The Guide’s goal is to bring you the best information we can in an accessible way, to help you know what you need to know. Read more about the Good Farm Guide Here.

The Good Farm Webinars on Navigating Regulations

Taranaki Catchment Communities through the Good Farm hub presents the Good Farm Guide to Navigating Regulations webinar series.

Presented by Perrin Ag, these webinars aim to increase your confidence in navigating farm compliance by providing you with the information you need to know, where you can go for further information and support, and how you might assess your own on-farm compliance requirements. Information presented in the webinars draws from content developed in the Good Farm Guide to Navigating Regulations. We highly recommend you download a digital copy or purchase a physical copy of this resource guide prior to attending the webinar.

Each webinar is 45 minutes and introduces the Guide and summarises some of the more pertinent legislation Farmers are interested in. The live Webinars allow for questions, and each session will be recorded to view later also. If you register, a recording will be sent to you.
